Base Diseño e Innovación is an academic publication of the Faculty of Design of the Universidad del Desarrollo, whose purpose is to spread the role of design as a catalyst for innovation processes that contribute to improve people’s quality of life and create economic, social and cultural value.
This magazine promotes dialogue between different disciplines and brings together relevant actors from academia, industry, governmental institutions and civil organizations; seeking to make visible experiences in which design has played an inspiring role and has identified opportunities that allows to expand their horizons.
The topic addressed in this issue is “Design and Global Challenges” and includes articles, interviews, opinion columns, research studies, essays, teaching experiences and projects in different areas of design. Among them, there are three projects that can be found in which Limarí has taken part: Palacio Pereira, Archaeological Museum of La Serena and the urban installation “Su Vertical nos Retiene”.
